Besides totally inactivating HIV-1, Hepatitis A and C, and the Ebola and Zika viruses, Methylene Blue is scientifically proven to be neuroprotective and help restore/reset brain function in people with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, bipolar, depression and more.
Existing ‘approved’ drugs for dementia obviously don’t work or they would be curing people and the disease would disappear. Methylene blue is the parent molecule for hydroxychloroquine, the off-patent drug commonly used to treat not only malaria but also “The Great Flu”. Until antibiotics came along, it was commonly used to treat urinary tract infections (which still works, btw) at microdose levels, which is the level of my SUPERNATURAL SALT 1000-YEAR-OLD RECIPE in transdermal or ‘through the skin’ form, which is less expensive and more convenient than iv infusion therapy. You can also pair it with my 6-in-1 device for photodynamic therapy. MB is also used as an antiviral agent in blood transfusions. To this day, Methylene Blue is found in every hospital worldwide for metabolic poisons that interferes with oxygen transport. If you’re admitted for carbon monoxide or cyaninde poisoning, you’ll receive methylene blue intravenously. It’s the only known antidote.
Studies have demonstrated Methylene Blue is an extremely effective antidepressant. You likely don’t know about it because very this affordable substance would put the mental health industry out of business. And it doesn’t have the nasty side-effects of Paxil or other antidepressants. Big Pharma doesn’t want us to know about Methylene Blue or how to use it. If you want to care for your family outside of the present medical paradigm, this would be something to pay attention to and have in your medicine toolkit. Gonzalez-Lima is the top expert on methylene blue, which helps mitochondrial respiration and improves brain energy metabolism that can truly prevent neurodegeneration and improve cognitive performance. “Our group was the first to map the effects of methylene blue in the brain of humans and show its effects on improving brain metabolism, blood flow and memory function.”
an antidote for pesticide poisoning
I had been researching remedies to detox from pesticides. I am sure they were sprayed in my yard before I moved here, all my neighbors use pesticides, and they are sprayed on farms in the surrounding area. I also grew up on a farm on the prairies and pesticides were sprayed by planes on the crops adjacent to our farm while we were riding our bikes, laughing, mouths wide open. Yuk. Pesticides are everywhere, so totally avoiding them is out of the question. The question I had was is there anything out there that assists our bodies’ cells in detoxing from serious poisons?
When I came across methylene blue at first I was disappointed. It was used in hospitals so to me it was a western medicine drug. Feeling like I had already gone over my lifetime quota of pharmaceutical drugs, I moved onto researching herbal remedies. But then, months later, research on brain health led my right back to methylene blue. This time I saw this as a sign and dug deeper. If you have not read my first post on methylene blue and my reasons for adding it to my 1000-year-old recipe click here. Not only is MB a remedy for cyanide and carbon monoxide poisoning, it is used to treat malaria, and is a strong anti-parasitic. It has been proven to help recover bumblebees from pesticide poisioning (see article here).

Methylene Blue for Bipolar Disorder:
MB in the Treatment of Neuropsychiatric Disorders. Conclusion: “Use of methylene blue in bipolar disorder led to a better stabilization and a reduction in residual symptoms of the illness.” Another study here. See MB May Help Bipolar Depression.
Methylene Blue for Depression
A Controlled Trial of MB in Severe Depressive Illness. Conclusion: “Methylene blue appears to be a potent antidepressant..”

MB Resists Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s Diseases
MB and Alzheimer’s Disease. Conclusion: MB is known to reduce the formations of amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles and to repair impairments in mitochondrial function and cellular metabolism. It also shows promise in treating Parkinson’s and Huntington’s diseases... (source)
MB Improves Memory:
Neurometabolic Mechanisms for Memory Enhancement and Neuroprotection of MB. Conclusion: “..Methylene Blue is neuroprotective… a safe intervention for the treatment of acute and chronic conditions with neurodegeneration and memory impairment.”
Functional MR Imaging of the Effects of MB in the Human Brain. Conclusion: “A single oral dose of MB improved memory retrieval by 7% and increased MRI-based responses in areas of the brain that control short-term memory and attention.”

MB Boosts Acetylcholine Important for Neuroplasticity
MB inhibits problematic acetylcholinesterase activity; the outcome is increased levels of acetylcholine. Acetylcholine’s function in the brain is critical for encoding new memories, reasoning, concentration, cognition, and growth of new synapses (neuroplasticity). Lack of acetylcholine can result in diseases like ADD, ADHD and Alzheimer’s. MB improves serotonin and norepinephrine affecting anxiety, depression and memory.
MB Increases Mitochondrial Energy:
Methylene Blue assists brain cell respiration by increasing oxygen. And donating electrons to the electron transport chain within mitochondria. This same process is used to create ATP within mitochondria from the food you eat. So MB contributes to this energy-production process. Increasing cellular energy positively effects mood and memory.
MB is Neuroprotective:
Methylene Blue is a potent antioxidant. When damaging reactive oxygen species are produced inside mitochondria, the first free radical that is formed inside a cell is superoxide. MB will bind to superoxide and reduce it to water. It stops the oxidative cascade at its very beginning, before it gets a chance to do damage.
Contraindications:
Do not use Methylene Blue if you have a G6PD deficiency, a liver or kidney disorder, if you use 5-HTP or St. John’s Wort, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Side effects with MB are very rare. Mayo Clinic said there is “NO contraindication for oral MB with SSRIs”.
