texture is important too as we are all unique skin types, living in unique climates, with unique lifestyle needs. After working with these formulas I have created for over two decades and applying them in every sort of order and layered over other textures, I have found some application techniques that work exceptionally well. Because my formulas are also unique, these tips may not work as well for other lines.
cream tint application tips
As far as the cream tints, they all have built in coverage with the colour, which is helpful if you are trying to cover discolouration in the area you will be applying the colour. For extra coverage, it can be helpful to apply a brightener or concealing hdd shade under the cream tint to create a smooth, even tone first. My aloe cream tints are more matte so if you are not sensitive to coconut, these are the best for staying put and not creasing. The poppy cream tints are more of a glossy cream tint. To create more of a matte finish to either cream tint, layer a pinch of matching loose tint over top. A little goes a long way. Blend by tapping very gently until the colour is smooth and even. Unless you are applying a tint to your brows or as an eyeliner where precision is needed, I find that a clean finger works better than a brush as the body’s temperature warms up the product a little. When this happens, very little product and blending are required. Also, tapping the skin is better than tugging at the skin or harsh blending with a rough-textured brush.
To apply a cream tint to brows, the icing on the cake brush on its side or defining moment brush work best. To create a smoky liner, try the eyes have it brush. To apply to the waterline or inner rim of eyes, the icing on the cake brush turned on its side deposits smooth colour. The brush with greatness brush works well if you want to create a wash of colour on the upper eyelids with a brush, or to create a light smokey eye.
loose tints
The loose tints are best applied over a brightener or cream tint so that the colour is smooth. Over bare skin it can look a little ruddy. The cream primer also gives the loose tint something to adhere to which enhances longevity. For the most colour impact, a loose tint layered over a cream tint or raw pigment cream version creates the most dramatic colour. You can apply the loose tints by tapping onto eye area with a finger or if applying like a blush or bronzer, the work it out brush is the perfect angled brush to blend across the cheekbones and into the hairline.
