Due to the custom nature of my products, I cannot offer returns or exchanges on any products, shades, sample sizes, travel sizes, or customized formulas. I put extra care into packaging each sample in the most earth-friendly way possible and offer samples to prevent returns.
By placing your order, you agree to my Terms and Conditions, which are presented and accepted at the checkout page (when you check the box above “Place Order”) and further details can be found on our Shipping Policy and Returns Policy pages.
Samples, custom formulas, and all products are non-refundable. Each full-size product that has an accompanying sample or travel size option is strictly NON-REFUNDABLE.
Please note, samples are not travel sizes. They are designed to provide 1-2 applications to a small area (such as the face or wrist) to test color impact, texture, coverage, or possible allergic reactions. All samples are carefully measured and priced proportionally to the corresponding full-size product.
Keep in mind that natural variations in my 100% superfood pigments and clays cause slight differences in color and undertones between batches. Similarly, the plant butters used in formulas carry their own distinct natural undertones and depth, resulting in subtle variations from product to product.

Once your payment is accepted via SQUARE or via canadian e-transfer, your formulas are freshly handcrafted, labeled, and shipped within 2-4 business days.

Estimated shipping times take effect after your order is shipped—not at the time of purchase.

Rush orders: A 24-hour rush order option is available for expedited processing.
Shipping

Haut Cosmetics is not responsible for delayed shipments by Canada Post, nor for items damaged or lost in transit.

The customer is solely responsible for entering a correct and complete shipping address when ordering.

All shipments use the address provided at checkout and cannot be changed after order submission.
Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

Due to the custom and personal nature of our products, all sales are final.

We do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges of any kind (including samples, travel size, or custom blends, as well as Caramel Tan and Custom Cacao Tan products).

Samples are offered to help clients make informed choices and to minimize the risk of dissatisfaction.

If you are unsure about a shade or product, please purchase a sample first or request a personalized consultation before placing your order.
No Refund

By placing an order, you confirm that you have reviewed and agreed to these policies, visible at the top of the checkout page.

Once an order is placed and payment is processed, it cannot be canceled, refunded, or modified for any reason except for cases of product defect or order fulfillment error.
Exceptions for Human Error

If you received the wrong product please contact us at hautcacao@hautcacao.ca within 30 days of delivery.

Provide your order number and clear photos of the product and packaging.

Messages must be sent via the website’s support message box; social media DMs are not accepted.

Claims made after 30 days from delivery cannot be processed.
Product Appearance & Oxidation

Natural pigments may vary slightly by batch and will gradually oxidize/lighten from exposure to light over 6-12 months. These changes are not considered defects and are not eligible for return or refund.
International Orders

The recipient is the importer of record and is responsible for all duties, taxes, and fees (“Import Fees”).

Delivery times may be subject to customs inspections and delays outside our control.

Title and risk of loss transfer to the customer upon shipment.

Refused shipments: If you refuse a delivery, you are responsible for all original shipping charges, import fees, and the cost of return shipping. These amounts will be deducted from any eligible merchandise refund.
